2019 Mexico Mission Trip

Our 2019 Overseas mission trip will be to Tepetlixpa, Mexico.  We will be working on the Refuge Ranch for kids ranging from 2 to 18, as well as a day of sightseeing (pyramids).

Refuge Ranch is an adoptive home for abandoned children that are located in central Mexico.  The children receive a homeschool education and find the love, nurture,
freedom and structure necessary to become all that God wants them to be.

We will be sleeping at a hotel near the camp.  Not sure on total cost, but looking at around $800 per person.  That is all inclusive (hotel, food, transportation.  Should not need much spending money.  Could be cheaper depending on flight costs.

This trip is open to anyone in the 9th grade up, as well as to any adult that would like to help serve.

We will be having a meeting on September 23rd following the second service.  We will be providing lunch, so please RSVP so we know how much food to prepare.

  3. If you’re a greeter, please be at CCC by 9:30 AM.
  4. If you’re singing or speaking please be at CCC by 8:30 AM.
  5. If you want to sing, and did not make it to practice, you’re still welcome to join the others.  But you’ll need to be at CCC by 8:30 so you can rehearse the songs.

Also, we will be having a social following the service honoring the Hickey’s, so please stick around.  There will be punch and cake, so let’s show them some love before they head out to the mission field!

2019 Workcamp (July 6-14)

We’ll be serving in Lexington, North Carolina!

Your votes have been tallied, and by an overwhelming margin, you all have decided to serve the Lexington, NC area next year.

We’ll check in at work camp on July 7th.  It is a nine-hour drive so we’ll need to stay two nights all together at a hotel.  Our Wednesday activity will be decided later, as well as what our celebration activity will be (Theme Park, Water Park, Rafting, etc).  This will determine if we leave on Friday, July 5th and then return Saturday, July 13th, or if we leave on a Saturday (July 6th) and return on Sunday, July 14.

We have reserved 25 spots for students and 5 spots for adults.

To reserve your spot you’ll need to fill out an application, CLICK HERE for the application, and turn it in along with your $50.00 deposit.  Or you can register online HERE.  Or we have forms available in the foyer.

Preliminary Information

COST:  The total amount the student is responsible for is $465.00.  A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is required at the time the student’s registration is turned in.  Please make all checks out to Crossroad Community Church.  $215.00 is then due by March 1st, 2019 with the remaining $200.00 being due by May 1st, 2019.

FUNDRAISING:  We will be having fundraisers to help offset some, (several students were able to raise ALL of their registration fees by our fundraisers alone) if not all, of the registration fee.  In order to get a portion of the funds raised at a fundraising event, you must be present at that event.

ACCOMMODATIONS:  During Workcamp we will be staying at a local High School.  Students will want to bring a towel and washcloth, plastic bags for wet or soiled clothing, an air mattress or foam pad, sleeping bag or sheets/blankets, bathing suite for showering and personal toilet articles.  A complete list of tools and other items will be made available at our parent meeting in January.

SPENDING MONEY:  Each student will need around $150.00 in spending money for food while traveling, and food during Wednesday and during our fun day.

More details to follow as they become available.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me any time by voice or text to (317) 401-1044 or by email at

Youth Sunday (Workcamp Report)

What a week!  We saw God do some really great things this past week.  Now is the time to write down where you saw God work in your life, or in another camper, and any memories.

Youth Sunday is July 29th, and we will be giving a report of Workcamp.  I will be taping interviews the week of July 16-19th.  Please let me know what day and time would be best for you that week.  Some questions I may be asking during the interview is:

  1. What was your most memorable moment during camp?
  2. Describe/talk about your resident
  3. How did you see God work in your life?
  4. How did you see God work thru you to another last week?
  5. What will you miss the most?
  6. Are you looking forward to next year, and if so why?

We will be having four speakers slots for the youth.  If you would like to speak about your experience, and how last week changed your life, please put your thoughts on paper and email, or hand deliver them, to me by July 16th.

Any questions hit me up!

Love you guys!
