We're not about making decisions, but about life long followers of Christ

2019 “The EDGE Conference”

Dear Parents and Youth,

This coming January 19-21st we will be taking a small group of students to Gatlinburg, TN for The Edge Conference.  This is more than just a youth conference, The Edge is a powerful worship and teaching experienced designed to disciple our students and train our leaders.

There are just a few spots available, and we are looking to fill those spots with students that would like to be student leaders for #CrossroadSM.  All costs will be paid by #CrossroadSM and will include transportation there and back, lodging, registration fees, and meals.  The only money the students will need would be spending money.  We will not be able to get a refund from The EDGE once we pay for your spot, so please be respectful and check your schedules.  We are happy we can provide an awesome experience for you and your growth, but want to be mindful, as well as be a good steward, with the monies God has provided us.

This is not a time to hang out with friends, but a time to hang out with Jesus.  This is for students that want to serve alongside our adult ministry leaders, by serving the Church and other students.  We are looking for individual’s that are wanting to be future leaders in the church.

In order to be considered for one of the spots, you must currently be in sixth grade or up. You will be required to fill out an application and set up an interview with the Student Ministry Leaders.  Applications are due Sunday, November 4th by the end of Youth Group.  Interviews must be completed by Sunday, November 18th.

The Conference is held over the ML King Day weekend.  We will be leaving CCC on Saturday, January 19th at 9:00 AM.   We will return approximately at 8:00 PM on Monday, January 21st.

The conference is being held at The River Terrace Resort and Convention Center.  You will experience large group worship sessions, small group Bible studies, late-night activities and will have some free time to explore Gatlinburg.

I believe that mission trips and conferences can, and do, change lives and are a big part of our youth ministry here at Crossroad Community Church. Mission trips and conferences are valuable ways for each of us to live out our faith, to walk in another’s shoes, meet the needs of people, to be changed; and most importantly, grow closer to God.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,

Warren Robison

2019 Mexico Mission Trip

Our 2019 Overseas mission trip will be to Tepetlixpa, Mexico.  We will be working on the Refuge Ranch for kids ranging from 2 to 18, as well as a day of sightseeing (pyramids).

Refuge Ranch is an adoptive home for abandoned children that are located in central Mexico.  The children receive a homeschool education and find the love, nurture,
freedom and structure necessary to become all that God wants them to be.

We will be sleeping at a hotel near the camp.  Not sure on total cost, but looking at around $800 per person.  That is all inclusive (hotel, food, transportation.  Should not need much spending money.  Could be cheaper depending on flight costs.

This trip is open to anyone in the 9th grade up, as well as to any adult that would like to help serve.

We will be having a meeting on September 23rd following the second service.  We will be providing lunch, so please RSVP so we know how much food to prepare.
